Helmets Repurposed

Laurel Steel is a steel fabrication company in Burlington, Ontario that reached out to us with an interesting proposal.

They recently underwent a hardhat redesign, and were looking at ways to dispose of the previous version. They proposed that we shred the hardhats, and use the material to make lumber for chairs in their lunchroom! We loved the idea, so we shredded the helmets down, manufactured the lumber, and built them 10 of our brown-on-black Muskoka Chairs!

The idea of a closed-loop recycling program is always something that we’re striving towards, and we’re excited to pursue more opportunities like this in the future.
