Recycling Heat Sheets from the Toronto Waterfront Marathon
The Green Event Ninjas reached out to us in hopes of achieving a 90% waste diversion for the Toronto Waterfront Marathon by Canada Running Series.
They had 150kg remaining of heat sheet blankets used by the runners, made from a difficult-to-recycle LDPE material. We were able to take them in and use it in our 2x2 lumber for the construction industry. With this initiative, the event was able to achieve Evergreen Status.
