Recycling Heat Sheets from the Toronto Waterfront Marathon
The Green Event Ninjas reached out to us in hopes of achieving a 90% waste diversion for the Toronto Waterfront Marathon by Canada Running Series.
They had 150kg remaining of heat sheet blankets used by the runners, made from a difficult-to-recycle LDPE material. We were able to take them in and use it in our 2x4 lumber for a bench that the Canada Running Series purchased as a donation for their events! With this initiative, the event was able to achieve Evergreen Status. Read more about the story on their press release!
